The 22nd District of the Chicago Police Department is sharing information with our local business community for preventing burglaries and robberies. They have created new guidelines for making commercial property more secure, as well as tips for preventing and dealing with robberies and carjackings. Officer Jeffrey Zwit, the 22nd District Business Liaison, suggested that all business owners have security cameras with live feeds, understand the storage capacity, and know how to access video from their feeds. Lastly, he recommended that ATM machines be bolted to the floor and placed away from doors and windows.
