Tombstone 5K

The 95th Street Business Association is pleased to join community partners as a co-host of the annual Tombstone 5K Walk & Run in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024. This family friendly event is sponsored by the 95th Street Business Association, the Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association, the Mt. Greenwood Community & Business Association, the office of 19th Ward Ald. Matt O’Shea, and local running store Running Excels.

The Tombstone 5K is an all-ages race through scenic Mt. Greenwood Cemetery and is open to runners and walkers of all levels. Mt. Greenwood Cemetery and Running Excels are both members of the MPBHBA, and we are pleased to plan and execute the event with them again this year.

In addition to being a fun community event that attracts over 300 participants each year, the run raises funds for beautification and other programs in the 19th Ward.
We hope you will consider sponsoring the race, joining us on October 19 as a vendor, or including a discount coupon in the race bag. Sponsorship confirmation is due September 20.

• Barry D. Alive $100 Sponsorship: Includes name on custom designed sweatshirt
• Paul Tergeist $250 Sponsorship: Includes name and logo on custom designed sweatshirt
• Aaron Judgement $500 Sponsorship: Includes name and logo on designed sweatshirt and at finish line
• Ima Frade $750 Sponsorship: Includes name and logo on designed sweatshirt and at finish line and 2 race bibs
• Pearl E. Gates $1,000 Sponsorship: Includes name and logo on designed sweatshirt, finish line, a lawn sign on course, and 4 race bibs
• Anita Shovel $2,500 Sponsorship: Includes name and larger logo at the top of sweatshirt (only 2 available), finish line, a lawn sign, as well as your name on our posters, and in our advertising, etc. and 4 race bibs.
• Ghost of the Race: Design & print 350 copies of a discount coupon to “haunt” the race bag. Discount details and expiration date are determined by the business. (E.g., $1 off pint of beer through October; 15% off breakfast or lunch on Sat., Oct. 19, 2024; $10 off $100 purchase)
